Sonora Campus
Central Valley Christian Academy Sonora (CVCA Sonora) is an extension campus of Central Valley Christian Academy (CVCA) located in Ceres, California. Wanting to expand its educational offerings to high school, Mother Lode Adventist Junior Academy (K-8) partnered with CVCA to create CVCA Sonora, which will offer grades 9-12 by 2026-2027. CVCA Sonora presently offers grades 9 and 10, expanding to 11th for 2025-2026.

We aim to provide students with opportunities to grow academically, develop strong character, and embrace community values. Our curriculum encourages students to explore their passions, step outside their comfort zones, and give back to others through service projects. By fostering empathy, compassion, and a commitment to making a difference, we prepare students to become future leaders who positively impact the world.
Academic Programs
Our diverse range of programs at CVCA Sonora enriches students' academic and extracurricular experiences by offering hands-on learning and personal growth opportunities. From international mission trips, where students serve others while exploring different cultures, to our music program, which includes touring choir, band, and handbells, students are engaged in dynamic activities. They can also participate in our backpacking program to develop leadership and survival skills, or explore nature through biology field trips focused on ecological conservation. Additionally, practical skills are fostered in our Wood Shop and Auto Mechanics classes, where students gain valuable expertise in carpentry and vehicle maintenance.
Athletic Programs
CVCA Sonora offers a variety of athletic programs, including basketball, soccer, volleyball, track and field, swimming, flag football, and a comprehensive ski program. These activities promote physical fitness, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship while integrating Christian values. Through collaboration with local schools, students participate in tournaments and events, providing competitive opportunities. The athletic programs at CVCA Sonora are designed to enhance students' overall well-being, foster friendships, and teach essential life skills such as time management and discipline
